Roles & Responsibilities :
Industry Relationship and Partnership Development
• Identify and establish strategic partnerships with relevant industries and businesses at the state and central levels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
• Document best practices of industry engagement with ITIs and state/central governments for replication as model examples.
• Facilitate seamless communication between ITIs and industry partners.
• Create opportunities for exposure visits for learners and educators to enhance practical understanding.
• Collaborate with the research and training teams to support and drive landscape studies in various states.
Work Transition Support (Placement & Self-Employment)
• Provide guidance and support to program implementation partners for organizing and monitoring industry engagement activities.
• Build the capacity of placement officers in partner organizations to plan and execute placement-related initiatives.
• Plan and deliver training sessions for placement officers, including orientations on systems and best practices.
• Develop and implement regional work transition strategies and plans, focusing on placement and self-employment.
• Prepare an annual calendar of placement activities by collaborating with regional teams.
• Organize and conduct employer engagement events such as placement fairs, job drives, and guest lectures.
• Enable states to facilitate placement-related events and activities effectively.
Alumni Tracking and Engagement
• Design and develop strategies for alumni tracking to understand learners' mindsets and program impacts.
• Implement alumni tracking through collaboration with ICF, interns, placement cells, and program partners.
• Support alumni and family engagement activities, including session delivery at Women ITIs.
• Build the capacity of the program team to deliver impactful placement sessions and support alumni.
Relationship Building
• Foster active working relationships with company representatives, industry bodies, and placement officers.
• Create and maintain a robust employer database by networking with industries and employers, making it accessible to program partners.
Team Management
• Manage and mentor interns or fellows involved in the program.
• Set clear performance objectives and development plans for the team, supporting their professional growth.
• Serve as a role model by upholding organizational values and adhering to human resource policies.
• Lead recruitment and induction processes for new team members, ensuring their well-being with support from the People team.
Reporting
• Prepare and submit timely monthly and quarterly donor reports.
• Consolidate placement and workshop reports for internal and external reviews.
• Ensure all relevant data is entered into databases accurately and on time.
• Actively participate in line management meetings, appraisals, and feedback sessions.
Qualifications & Skills
• 4 to 6 years of experience in student placement at the fresher level within NGOs or technical institutions.
• Proven expertise in liaising with companies and establishing industry connections for placement initiatives.
• Demonstrated success in customer/client engagement, building effective partnerships with companies in relevant fields.
• Experience in training and preparing young adults for job placements and on-the-job training (OJT).
• Strong computer skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of placement services.
• Willingness to travel for external visits and events.
• Strong teamwork, negotiation, and consultation skills for internal and external engagement in placement activities.
