We are seeking a talented Piping Microstation Designer to join our team.
As a Piping Microstation Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed piping designs and layouts using Microstation software.
You will collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and industry standards.
This role requires a strong understanding of piping systems, CAD software proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Designing and drafting piping layouts, isometrics, and detailed drawings using Microstation software (2D and 3D).
Collaborating with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
Ensuring designs comply with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
Conducting site visits and surveys to gather information for design purposes.
Reviewing and revising designs based on feedback and project requirements.
Performing quality checks on designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assisting in the preparation of technical documentation and reports as needed.
QualificationsAbout YouTo be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Associate ITI/Diploma/degree or equivalent in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in piping design using Microstation software (2D and 3D)..
Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and construction methods.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Microstation.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
ITI/Dip/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in the Metals and Mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, E3D) will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of industry standards and codes (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
