Job Overview: Perform Design and engineering process facilities with a moderate degree of supervision and within a specified time while adhering to maintenance, safety and quality standards, consider constructability, economics and operation into account during Pre-FEED, FEED or Detailed Design phases. Develop 3D Models and ensure clash free model in coordination with all other disciplines requirements. Apply basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work. Continue developing skills to efficiently complete repetitive tasks. Set priorities, organize own work and time to meet objectives and deadlines set by Lead Piping Designer. Keep Lead / Principal/ Senior Designer appraised of all activities, progress and concern. Support Lead / Principal/ Senior Piping Designer in 3D Model Reviews and provide sufficient information to close the Review comments.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Work in the design software Smart Plan 3D, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review, LFM and Excel to develop design deliverables.
Use the Oil Gas industry codes and standards including ASME, API, PIP, Shell DEP etc.,
Assist with the piping modeling, equipment modeling with nozzle, nozzle orientation, equipment location plan, piping arrangement and accuracy checking of Input.
Design pipe support requirement as per the design analysis and the support tagging, followed by back checking.
Independently support noncritical lines and support tagging.
Provide third party quality review checks to support multiple project teams.
Essential Qualifications and Education: The candidate should have Diploma Professional piping drafting completed from an accredited program and have 5 to 14 years of relevant experience. Additional qualifications include the following:
Advanced understanding and proficient experience of design software such as Smart Plant 3D . Hand-on experience, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review, LFM and Excel to develop design deliverables is preferred, and strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience executing Oil, Gas Chemical projects (detail design) based on a ASME B31.3, ANSI/NEMA and other international codes and standards.
Strong understanding with Oil, Gas and Chemical industry codes and standards including ASME, API, PIP, Shell DEP etc.
Demonstrate Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building and collaboration.
Capability of solving design problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria s.
Provide training and mentoring to less experienced designers and team members.
Experience leading designer teams and is a strong leader and easily identifies design tasks to delegate to the team.
Must be having Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Must have strong communication skills and does not hesitate to ask questions to learn.
Proficiency in English language is required
