Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Consultation
• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic procedures according to Ayurvedic principles to determine the root cause of illnesses.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, considering their dosha (constitution) and imbalances.
• Ayurvedic Treatment:
• Prescribe herbal medicines, dietary recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic procedures (such as Panchakarma) to restore balance and promote healing.
• Administer Ayurvedic therapies like massages, detoxification treatments, and yoga sessions to improve overall well-being.
• Monitor the progress of patients, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
• Health Education and Counseling:
• Educate patients about Ayurvedic principles, including diet, exercise, stress management, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Offer counseling and guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing chronic conditions, and preventing recurrence of illnesses.
• Empower patients to take an active role in their health by providing them with knowledge and tools for self-care.
• Collaboration and Referrals:
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including allopathic doctors, specialists, and therapists, to provide integrated healthcare solutions.
• Refer patients to specialists or hospitals when necessary for advanced diagnostic tests, surgical interventions, or emergency care.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Research and Professional Development:
• Stay updated on the latest developments in Ayurvedic medicine, research studies, and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in continuing education programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Contribute to the advancement of Ayurvedic science through research, publications, and academic pursuits.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from a recognized institution and MSc Yoga with good allopathy experience.
• Valid license to practice as a BAMS Doctor issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
• Strong understanding of Ayurvedic principles, theories, and therapeutic modalities.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to assess patients holistically.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients.
• Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and professional integrity.
