The client is looking to hire a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician for their set up at Bangalore.Educational Qualifications - MD PMR/ DNB PMRDuties & Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical and medical assessments of patients to understand their medical history, current condition, limitations, and goals.- Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Collaborate with senior consultants and other medical professionals to diagnose patients\' conditions accurately. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a combination of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological interventions, medication, other interventions, orthotics and assistive devices.- Therapeutic Interventions: Administer or supervise various therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, neuromuscular re-education, and gait training, to improve patients\' strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall functionality.- Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate patients\' progress and modify treatment plans as needed based on objective measurements, outcome measures and patient feedback. Make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Provide guidance on how to perform exercises and activities at home to support their recovery.- Collaboration: Work closely with other medical specialists, including orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, physiatrists, and occupational physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex conditions.- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any changes in patients\' conditions.- Research and Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Engage in professional development activities, teaching, preparing course content, attend conferences, and contribute to research studies.- Compliance: Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in patient care and medical practice.- Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department or institution, aiming to enhance patient outcomes and the overall healthcare experience.
