Ganges Valley School is based in Bachupally, Nizampet, Hyderabad, India and is looking for a Physical Education Teachers

Position Summary:

The Physical Education (PE) Teacher position at GVS of Hyderabad involves delivering comprehensive physical education instruction to students from different cultural backgrounds.

This role includes designing and implementing engaging curriculum, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, and fostering physical fitness and skill development.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for physical education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to promoting holistic student well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a progressive and inclusive physical education curriculum aligned with CBSE standards, focusing on the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of students. Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities to develop fundamental movement skills, fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal wellness. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing feedback to support skill development and goal setting. Promote the importance of regular physical activity, healthy lifestyle choices, and lifelong fitness habits through classroom instruction and modelling. Organize and supervise extracurricular sports teams, to provide opportunities for student participation and skill development. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support the overall well-being of students and integrate physical education goals with broader educational objectives. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, enforcing rules and procedures for physical activity. Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to stay current with best practices in physical education, sports coaching, and health promotion.

Successful Candidates Will Possess the Following Qualifications:

B.Ped /M.Ped, & Coaching certification Valid teaching license in Physical Education. Should have worked in reputed schools for a minimum of 3-4 years. Good communication and classroom management skills. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage students in physical activities. Minimum of 4 years of experience in Physical Education Teaching in Grades 11 &12 Passion and enthusiasm for students. Recommending and demonstrating various types of exercises and drills to the Students. Assisting the students in their play sessions to help them acquire proficiency in the game Accompanying the teams going out for competition
