• Curriculum Planning and Implementation :
• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate physical education programs that align with the CBSE curriculum and educational goals.
• Plan a well-rounded curriculum that includes fitness, sports, games, and activities to enhance students' physical and motor skills.
• Teach a variety of physical activities, including traditional sports (e.g., cricket, basketball, football), gymnastics, track and field, dance, and yoga.
• Integrate fitness assessments and wellness programs to promote lifelong health and fitness habits among students.
• Physical Fitness and Skill Development :
• Promote physical fitness through structured activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Help students develop physical skills in various sports and games, from basic motor skills to advanced techniques.
• Assess individual students' fitness levels and skill development, and provide personalized support to help them reach their physical potential.
• Health Education and Awareness :
• Teach students about the importance of physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.
• Conduct workshops or lessons on topics such as healthy eating habits, stress management, and the benefits of regular physical activity.
• Promote the value of teamwork, cooperation, and fair play in sports and physical activities.
• Sports Coaching and Extracurricular Activities :
• Organize and coach students in various inter-house and inter-school sports events, ensuring they understand the rules and strategies of each sport.
• Select, train, and mentor students for school-level sports teams and competitions.
• Plan and execute school sports days, athletic meets, and other events that encourage student participation in physical activities.
• Foster a culture of sportsmanship, team spirit, and discipline during extracurricular activities.
• Classroom Management and Safety :
• Ensure the safety of students during physical activities, sports events, and lessons by enforcing safety rules and guidelines.
• Conduct regular checks on sports equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe and well-maintained.
• Supervise students during physical education classes, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and controlled manner.
• Provide first aid when necessary and keep emergency protocols in place for injuries that may occur during physical activities.
• Promoting Inclusion and Participation :
• Encourage participation in physical education classes and extracurricular sports among all students, regardless of ability or background.
• Adapt physical activities and sports to meet the needs of students with different physical abilities or learning challenges.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment where students feel motivated to participate and improve their physical skills.
• Tracking Progress and Performance :
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress in physical education, including improvements in fitness, skills, and teamwork.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance in physical activities and sports events.
• Maintain records of students' progress and performance for parent-teacher meetings, school reports, or internal assessments.
• Collaboration with School Community :
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other staff members to integrate physical education with other subjects and student well-being programs.
