About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled PHP and WordPress Developer to join our Web Development team in Kolkata. This role involves developing and maintaining websites, custom themes, and plugins using PHP and WordPress. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web technologies and a passion for creating high-quality, user-friendly websites.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development & Maintenance:

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.

Write clean, well-documented, and efficient PHP code for custom functionalities.

Frontend Development:

Build responsive and visually appealing websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize websites for performance.

Database Management:

Work with MySQL databases to design, optimize, and manage data structures.

Debugging & Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues in existing websites, ensuring smooth functionality.

Monitor and optimize website performance, including load times and security.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver projects on time.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in web development.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in PHP and WordPress development.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience with MySQL, API integration, and RESTful services.

Familiarity with WordPress hooks, filters, and actions for advanced customizations.

Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred to Have:

Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.

Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.

Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: ?12,000 to ?20,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
