Job Description

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA) for PHP Laravel Intern1. Development and Coding

• Assist in developing web applications using PHP and Laravel framework based on project specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best coding practices.
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Create and maintain database schemas that represent and support business processes.

2. Testing and Debugging

• Conduct testing of the developed applications to identify bugs and ensure functionality.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues reported by users or identified during testing.
• Write basic unit and feature tests to ensure code quality and functionality.

3. Learning and Skill Development

• Stay updated with the latest updates in Laravel, PHP, and related technologies.
• Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance coding skills.
• Explore and practice new tools, libraries, and techniques to improve development processes.

4. Database Management

• Assist in designing and managing databases using MySQL or other relational database systems.
• Write SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Optimize database queries for better performance and faster response times.

5. Code Documentation and Review

• Document code, processes, and solutions for future reference and understanding.
• Participate in code reviews with senior developers and incorporate feedback for improvement.
• Maintain documentation on project progress, updates, and changes.

6. API Development and Integration

• Assist in developing and integrating RESTful APIs to connect front-end and back-end systems.
• Work on third-party API integrations and troubleshoot any integration issues.
• Ensure proper authentication, security, and error handling for API endpoints.

7. Version Control and Collaboration

• Use Git or other version control systems to manage code repositories.
• Collaborate with team members using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) for task tracking.
• Follow version control workflows, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.

8. Performance Optimization

• Assist in optimizing web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement caching mechanisms, query optimization, and other performance enhancement techniques.
• Monitor performance metrics and address any bottlenecks or issues affecting application speed.
