Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mid-Level PHP Developer with expertise in both the development and maintenance of web applications. This role involves working with PHP, Laravel, and CodeIgniter frameworks, managing MySQL databases, setting up CI/CD pipelines, integrating third-party services, and deploying scalable solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, strong debugging skills, and the ability to balance new feature development with ongoing system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development and Maintenance
• Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP, Laravel, and CodeIgniter frameworks.
• Build efficient, reusable, and modular components to enhance application functionality.
• Refactor and update legacy codebases to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Database Management
• Design and optimize MySQL schemas, ensuring efficiency and data integrity.
• Write and maintain complex queries, stored procedures, and database migrations.
• API Development and Integration
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between services.
• Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRMs, analytics tools) with secure and reliable connections.
• Cloud Infrastructure and CI/CD Pipelines
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline development workflows.
• Troubleshooting and Support
• Identify and resolve issues in production and development environments.
• Monitor application performance and implement solutions to enhance responsiveness and reliability.
• Version Control and Collaboration
• Use Git for version control, managing branches, merges, and releases effectively.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Documentation and Best Practices
• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for codebases and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and project guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of professional PHP development experience.
• Proven expertise in Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in MySQL, focusing on optimization and complex query design.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) for deployment and scaling.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Expertise in RESTful API development and third-party API integration.
• Proficiency in Git version control and related workflows.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (Vue.js, React, or Angular) is a plus.
