Job Title: Pharmacovigilance Associate (Fresher) Department: Pharmacovigilance Reports To: Pharmacovigilance Manager Job Summary: The Pharmacovigilance Associate will support the pharmacovigilance team in monitoring, assessing, and reporting on the safety of pharmaceutical products. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates with a keen interest in drug safety and regulatory affairs. The role involves collecting and evaluating adverse event reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall safety profile of the company\'s products. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, process, and manage adverse event reports from healthcare professionals, patients, and other sources.
- Ensure accurate data entry of adverse event information into the safety database.
- Perform initial triage of adverse event reports.
- Assess the seriousness, causality, and expectedness of reported adverse events.
- Ensure timely submission of individual case safety reports (ICSRs) to regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and update the pharmacovigilance database with accurate and complete information.
- Assist in the preparation of aggregate safety reports (e.g., Periodic Safety Update Reports, Development Safety Update Reports).
- Ensure all pharmacovigilance activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and company SOPs.
- Prepare and maintain pharmacovigilance documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Assist in signal detection activities and contribute to the evaluation of potential safety signals.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including clinical research, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance. Qualifications: - Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field. A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or postgraduate qualification in Pharmacovigilance or a related discipline is a plus.
- No prior work experience required. Internship or project experience in pharmacovigilance or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
