Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

Job Summary:

Prabhushree English Medium School is looking for an experienced and dedicated PGT Sociology Faculty member to teach Classes XI and XII. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in sociology, passionate about teaching, and committed to inspiring a love for the subject while helping students develop critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Sociology lessons in alignment with the senior secondary curriculum.
• Design coursework, assessments, and projects to deepen students' understanding of sociological theories, concepts, and research methods.
• Guide students in exploring social structures, patterns, and issues, encouraging discussions on topics like culture, socialization, stratification, and social change.
• Support students in board exam preparation by offering in-depth explanations, clarifying complex concepts, and conducting regular assessments.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.
• Monitor and assess individual student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid in their academic growth.
• Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in Sociology to bring contemporary examples into the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Sociology and a B.Ed. degree (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Sociology at the senior secondary level; experience with board classes and exam preparation is highly desirable.
• Thorough understanding of the senior secondary Sociology curriculum and CBSE board requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and support students.

Skills:

• Ability to break down complex sociological theories and ideas for better student understanding.
• Skilled in using varied teaching techniques, including group discussions, case studies, and interactive multimedia.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Ability to motivate students, foster curiosity, and encourage in-depth exploration of social issues.

Work Schedule: Regular school hours, Monday to Saturday, with possible additional hours for extra support sessions if needed.
