Job Description

The PGT Political Science will be responsible for teaching senior secondary school students (Classes XI and XII) according to the CBSE Board curriculum. The role involves developing students' understanding of political theories, systems, institutions, and ideologies while encouraging analytical thinking and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery :
• Plan and deliver lessons as per the prescribed syllabus.
• Ensure completion of the syllabus on time with proper understanding and engagement.
• Use innovative teaching methods to explain complex political science concepts.
• Classroom Management :
• Maintain discipline and an encouraging learning environment.
• Cater to diverse student needs and abilities, ensuring inclusivity.
• Evaluation and Assessment :
• Design and conduct tests, quizzes, and examinations.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare detailed progress reports for parents and school records.
• Resource Management :
• Prepare teaching aids such as presentations, notes, and reference materials.
• Utilize technology and multimedia tools to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Skill Development :
• Foster critical thinking, debate, and public speaking among students.
• Guide students in analyzing current political issues and systems.
• Extracurricular Engagement :
• Organize and oversee debates, Model United Nations (MUN), and other co-curricular activities related to political science.
• Professional Development :
• Stay updated with the latest developments in political science and educational practices.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars as required by the institution.
• Collaboration :
• Work closely with fellow teachers and administrative staff.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students preparing for board exams and competitive exams.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential :

• Master's degree in Political Science from a recognized university.
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent.
