PGT Physics - CAIE Curriculum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Physics

to teach the

Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level (AS & A2) Physics curriculum

. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the subject, strong pedagogical skills, and the ability to inspire and engage high school learners in a dynamic international curriculum environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to students in Grades 9-12 (IGCSE and A-Levels). Design and implement lesson plans that align with the CAIE curriculum and school standards. Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations with a strong focus on conceptual understanding and exam techniques. Conduct regular assessments, analyze student performance, and provide constructive feedback. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages active learning and scientific inquiry. Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences. Participate in department meetings, school events, and professional development programs. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance. Support students through academic mentoring, remedial classes, and exam preparation sessions. Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary learning and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Physics or a related field. B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification preferred. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international curriculum (IGCSE/A-Level/IB). Familiarity with CAIE syllabus, marking schemes, and assessment standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in curriculum planning and resource development. Ability to use digital platforms like Google Classroom, MS Teams, or similar. Passion for science education and student-centered teaching practices. Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
