A PGT Maths Teacher (Post Graduate Teacher in Mathematics) is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to secondary and senior secondary students, typically from grades 8 to 12. Here's an outline of their key responsibilities and requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery : Plan and conduct engaging, clear, and effective lessons in line with the curriculum and examination standards, ensuring students grasp complex mathematical concepts.
• Assessment & Evaluation : Design, administer, and grade tests, assignments, and projects to assess students' knowledge, progress, and understanding of the subject.
• Student Support : Offer individual guidance, address students' queries, and provide additional help to students needing support in specific areas.
• Classroom Management : Maintain an organized, focused, and productive classroom environment, fostering a safe and respectful space for learning.
• Professional Development : Participate in workshops, seminars, and training to stay updated on teaching strategies, tools, and curriculum changes.
• Parent Communication : Engage in regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
• Administrative Tasks : Maintain accurate records, prepare reports on students' performance, and comply with institutional administrative requirements.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualifications : A Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field and a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree is typically required.
• Experience : Prior experience teaching mathematics at the senior secondary level is often preferred.
• Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, classroom management abilities, and a passion for teaching.
• Knowledge of Curriculum : Familiarity with the relevant syllabus (CBSE) and examination standards.
