Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in Economics that adhere to curriculum guidelines and educational standards. Ensure lessons are engaging, relevant, and appropriately challenging for senior students.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to measure student understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning and improvement.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Economics curriculum, incorporating current economic issues, trends, and innovative teaching methods.
• Student Support: Offer additional support and guidance to students, including one-on-one tutoring, mentorship, and academic counseling. Address and resolve any academic or behavioral issues that arise.
• Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding student performance, progress, and any concerns. Conduct parent-teacher conferences as necessary.
• Professional Development: Engage in professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest developments in Economics education and teaching practices.
• Extracurricular Activities: Support and participate in related extracurricular activities, such as economics clubs, debates, or workshops, to enhance students' learning experiences.
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment that promotes respect, engagement, and academic achievement.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Master's degree in Economics or a related field. A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience at the senior secondary level is preferred. Experience with advanced Economics curriculum and exam preparation is advantageous.

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
