:Preference: Candidate should have (Madhya Pradesh) Electrical Mines Supervisory LicenseJob PurposeTo supervise & co-ordinate the execution of operation and maintenance activities in Mines, OLBC & Crusher section to maximize plant availability and reduce breakdowns to improve productivity at minimum maintenance cost by utilizing available resources.Job Context & Major ChallengesJob Context:-UltraTech Cement Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of grey cement,Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) & white cement in India.The Company has a consolidated capacity of 137.85 Million Tonnes Per Annum(MTPA) of grey cement.UltraTech has 23 integrated manufacturing units,29 grinding units,1 Clinkerisation unit & 8 Bulk Packaging Terminals.
Maihar Cement Works is a modern cement plant with a high level of automation, computer-aided data acquisition & sophisticated control system, which ensures quality at every stage of production.The Unit is strategically located at Sarlanagar at a distance of about 8 Kms from the town of Maihar on Maihar-Dhanwahi Road in Satna District of Madhya Pradesh.About 45 Kms South-East of Satna, a hub of Cement Industries in India.Maihar is situated at the Main Railway line of Howrah-Mumbai. It is one of the famous dots in the mythological map of India and also regarded as the abode of Goddess Sharda.
The Unit has a clinker production capacity of 3.0 MTPA,Cement Production capacity of 4.2 MTPA & manufactures OPC 43, OPC 53 & PPC grade of cement with Environment clearance for cement production capacity enhancement to 6.0 MTPA. Unit also has a solar power plant of installed capacity 12.5 MW DC / 8.75 MW AC and is equipped with the latest technology & equipments. The Normal Power requirement of the Unit is about 47.5 MW which is being met through our two nos. TPP of a total capacity of 2 x 15.7 MW. We have also a contract demand of 22 MVA with MPPKVVCL.
There are four townships (Staff Colony, Bank Colony,Juda Nala Colony & Mines Colony)adjacent to plant with facilities like 30 room guesthouse, sports & recreation club with swimming pool, temple,30 bedded Hospital, garden,playground, children park, etc. Unit also facilitate CBSE Affiliated School within colony premises and College about 500 mtr from Staff ColonyThere are four townships (Staff Colony, Bank Colony, Juda Nala Colony and Mines Colony)adjacent to plant with facilities like 30 room guesthouse, sports & recreation club with swimming pool,temple,30 bedded Hospital,garden, playground, children park, etc. Unit also facilitate CBSE Affiliated School within colony premises and College about 500 mtr from Staff Colony.

The focus area for Job holder is to ensure smooth Mines operations by providing prompt electrical support to mines operations and maintaining 100% compliance to statutory compliances. The position is also responsible for reducing stores and spares cost, repair and maintenance cost through zero based maintenance budgeting, co-ordination with all sections for day to day operation. Ensuring safe working environment in the work place.
Job Context & Major Challenges:

  • Maihar is an over 40 years old plant with Line 1 & 2 commissioned in 1979 and Line 3 in 1985 this possess a challenge of upgradation of existing major equipment and digitization of various manual processes to increase the Plant output and performance against key performance indicators of the Unit.
  • Most of the employees are from Ex CTIL era especially in WB and CL and require regular hand holding, training and support in delivering to UTCL system and processes like Safety, Internal/External Audit, Elimination of MUDA, ABOE framework implementation etc.
  • To optimize operations to achieve better business results in energy consumption by increasing the operational efficiency of the E&I equipment and reducing unscheduled downtime by implementing maintenance management programs that appropriately balance preventive, predictive, corrective and replacement options with minimum maintenance Cost/fixed cost.
  • Merging of E&I - Needs people development for developing skill of team for taking charge of both responsibilities & delivering desired result safely.

KRA1 Accountability 1.Supervise & coordinate electrical maintenance activities to maximize the power availability.
2.Scheduling of shutdown jobs.
3.Workout to fulfil the material & manpower requirement
4.Troubleshooting and corrective action of Electrical breakdown or failures to find the root cause and best solution in order to restore the functionality back to normal within least possible time.
5.Daily & Monthly Power report analysis
6.Ensuring operation and maintenance of EMS systems to smooth running without B/D
7.Ensuring to carry out the transformer oil testing/relay testing and calibration of measuring instrument.
8.Power analysis & identification /Implementation of energy saving projects.
KRA2 Modification / Upgradation Identify the abnormalities & unsafe conditions at site and doing modifications / upgradations on continuous basis to improve plant performance.
Analyses the frequent problems, tripping, breakdowns. Identify areas requiring improvements.
Carryout why-why analysis, review drawings / specifications.
Implement approved proposals, RCN & BCN recommendations.
KRA3 MIS & Records Maintaining records for various activities and section KPIs
Ensuring timely data Updation in SAP
PR/ PO preparation in SAP and using various approval portals like I Approve and Jiffy.
Providing timely and accurate information to Management as and when required.
KRA4 Focus on SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives \xc2\xa7 Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.
\xc2\xa7 Educating Staff, WB and CL Manpower to perform their jobs safely while improving their awareness on the Job they are performing, associated hazards and measures to perform the jobs safely while escalating unsafe acts and behaviors to their seniors.
\xc2\xa7 Timely conducting scheduled SO round and Walk Through Rounds, ensuring reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
\xc2\xa7 Reporting all major and minor Incidents , investigation of incidents & closing all recommendations as per timeline mentioned in Incident Investigation Standard & Procedure
\xc2\xa7 To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
\xc2\xa7 Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site
\xc2\xa7 Achieving 100% compliance with Process Safety Management standard.
KRA5 \xc2\xa7 Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
\xc2\xa7 Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc. and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
\xc2\xa7 Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
- Preparing personal Safety & wellness plan in coordination with Managers and ensuring its 100% compliances
KRA6 System Management: -
(Implementing & monitoring effective execution of IMS and other systems in the Section for overall improvements towards productivity and creating safe work culture) 1. To plan & execute timely ABOEF process activities in respective Section like 5S, BCE, hygiene, Model area, illumination, good maintenance practices, visual & Lubrication management, QCDIPSHE performance, Kaizen, OPL, improvement projects etc. for internal customer satisfaction.
2. Review procedure requirements & recommend amendments for continuous improvement.
3. Actively taking lead in meetings for implementation good practices in improving associated KFA and GRT performance and carry out internal audits to ensure effective implementation of systems
4. To inculcate team for reducing repetitive nature problem, training other on tacit knowledge, adapting new technology, bring kaizen & improvement projects, adherence & develop preservation SOP's.
5. Ensure proper implementation of IMS standards by timely Updation of documents & control, reviewing standards requirements, taking corrective & preventive action against findings internal and external audit/assessments finding for timely closure for 100% compliance.
6.Develop Area owner ship culture.
7.CLIT for every equipment.
8.Dispaly critical work SOP at site.
