:

BASIC FUNCTION: The successful candidate will be working as part of a distributed team of individuals whose responsibility will be to improve the performance of poorly written or poorly performing applications code in Oracle E-Business Suite. This will include existing code as well as new code which has not yet been promoted to production. This team delivers technology solutions for strategic business needs, drives adoption of these services and support processes and boosts value by enhancing our customers\' experience.

Roles and responsibilities:

The candidate will monitor and improve the performance of poorly performing Oracle code objects in production instance used by Emerson Automation Solutions. The candidate will also have roles and responsibilities for performance recommendations during development and ensure that programmers are adhering to the documented standards maintained by ITSS and Emerson Process.

• Provide guidance to other developers in how to avoid performance issues in their code.
• Provide improved performance Oracle Applications code objects, both standard and custom.
• Support production environment with problem detection, resolution and deterrence.
• Provide knowledge and expertise in Oracle Application programming related activities.
• Provide guidance and instruction in the area of Oracle application performance tuning.
• Ensuring that all the tickets should meet the pre-defined SLAs as per quality parameters.
• Responsible for analyzing the root cause of the performance issues assigned.
• Analyze the trace file for the tuning components.
• Generate AWR Reports and monitor the database regularly to identify poor performing SQL proactively.
• Debug the code effectively to identify performance issues where SQL is not a problem.

Skills, qualifications, and experience:

• 5+ Programming Skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Forms, Java and Workflow.
• 5+ Years of experience in Oracle R12 Applications EBS (technical or functional).
• Practical knowledge and experience with standard Oracle development tools such as Toad, Tkprof, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Menus and Responsibilities, SQL Loader and others.
• Good interpersonal skills using English, both spoken and written.

Education:

• Graduation in Science with a technical background (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering)
