ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance tests to ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our software applications. The Performance Test Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for optimization. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Performance Testing: • Develop and implement performance test strategies, plans, and test cases.
• Execute performance tests to assess system behavior under various load conditions.
• Identify and analyze performance bottlenecks, resource utilization, and system limitations.

Tool Proficiency: • Utilize industry-standard performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, to simulate real-world scenarios and measure system performance.
• Stay abreast of emerging performance testing tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.

Collaboration: • Collaborate with development, quality engineering, and system operations teams to understand application architecture and performance requirements.
• Work closely with developers to diagnose and resolve performance issues.

Analysis and Reporting: • Generate comprehensive performance test reports with actionable insights.
• Provide recommendations for system improvements based on test results and analysis.

Scalability Testing: • Conduct scalability testing to ensure the system can handle increased loads as the user base grows.
• Work on capacity planning to anticipate future performance needs.

Automation: • Implement automated performance testing scripts to streamline the testing process and provide continuous monitoring of system performance.


Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Performance Test Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner or JMeter) and methodologies.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C, JavaScript) for test automation.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies including CI and Azure DevOps
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE:
• Certification in performance testing (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing Certification).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
