Location: Mumbai, MH Overview/Purpose: The People Director, India will oversee a newly combined People team co-located in our 4 market offices (Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi). They will partner with the India Managing Director and Senior Leadership for the market. They will work within our matrixed structure to lead all India People activities in partnership with global COEs and global business partners while also providing leadership to roles and activities that span across the market as we continue to evolve our People Team\'s ways of working. The role will be responsible for aligning business objectives with the people strategy and act as a change agent and champion for the transformation of both the India People team and the continued evolution of our new global and regional ways of working across our business. This person will have frontline access to leaders to guide, partner and support them with a scope of work that includes but is not limited to employee relations, talent strategy, performance management, career pathing, internal mobility, change management, Diversity & Inclusion, People Operations and Compensation & Benefits. Given the nature of this work, the position will initially report to a member of the People Leadership Team. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working with all levels of the organization, manage team members in multiple locations, and be culturally sensitive. The role will be based in Bangalore or Mumbai and will be required to travel regularly across our India offices. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the evolution of new combined ways of working across the four India offices Act as key business partner and support for all people-related matters in India, at a time of continued change and transformation of the business. Lead integration efforts that support both the People team\'s and the business\'s newly matrixed ways of working in India Build effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients at all levels of the organization. Partner with business leaders to define and implement a People strategy that aligns with company goals. Work closely with employees and managers to build culture, improve morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation as applicable across markets. Oversee effective performance management across business units; continually act as performance improvement driver; provoking positive changes in performance and people management. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire the best talent into the organization. Partner with the Chief Diversity Officer to build and implement D& I initiatives and programs. Facilitate the resolution of all employee relations issues including those with complex, multi-step solutions, investigations, etc. Proactively identify Talent Management and Learning and Development gaps; partner with the Talent Management team to propose and implement changes and solutions. Collaborate with client teams to foster internal cohesion and a shared corporate culture. Collaborate with clients and other members of the People leadership team to further the company\'s Inclusion and Diversity & Inclusion agenda. Partner with clients on building and refining programs to attract, hire, retain and develop a diverse and inclusive workforce. Be a key influencer of both people and business decisions Review and analyze data for reporting purposes, to identify trends and to recommend solutions to improve performance, retention and engagement. Essential Skills & Experience Relevant extensive progressive HR experience and exposure to a variety of People facets including employee relations, organizational development, D&I and talent acquisition. Past experience supporting complex global organizations and helping businesses meet strategic objectives. Experience building and promoting D&I programs Experience working successfully in a matrixed structure. Experience with organizational design and restructure. Prowess in integrating the People value proposition with business priorities and developing strategies to meet the company\'s needs and goals. Strong employee relations and investigation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence executive level individuals successfully. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Integrity, assertiveness and the ability to build trust easily. Ability to manage confidential information. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills or comparable G-Suite applications. Strong understanding translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the business needs. Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives. Strong business acumen and commercial understanding. Demonstrable experience in bringing insight through HR analytics. Experience of leading HR across multiple locations is preferred Workday experience preferred.
