Pediatric Ophthalmologist
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Practice: Examine, diagnose and treat pediatric patients with eye disorders.
2. Surgery: Perform surgical procedures for strabismus, cataracts, glaucoma and other conditions.
3. Refractive Services: Prescribe glasses, contact lenses and other vision correction methods.
4. Retina Care: Diagnose and treat retinal diseases and conditions.
5. Neuro-Ophthalmology: Evaluate and manage eye-related neurological disorders.
6. Consultation: Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists and other specialists.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Residency: Completed ophthalmology residency.
2. Fellowship: Pediatric ophthalmology fellowship (optional).
4. Licensure: Board certification by Ophthalmology.
5. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Technical: Proficiency in ophthalmic equipment and software.
