:
• Teaching and Education : Deliver lectures, clinical instruction, and workshops in pediatric medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring a solid understanding of child health, development, and pediatric diseases.
• Clinical Practice : Provide high-quality clinical care for pediatric patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic childhood illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Curriculum Development : Contribute to the development and revision of the pediatric curriculum, incorporating current medical advancements, treatment protocols, and educational methodologies.
• Research Activities : Conduct and supervise research on pediatric health issues, such as childhood diseases, development disorders, or preventive care, with a focus on publishing results in peer-reviewed journals.
• Mentorship : Mentor medical students, residents, and junior faculty in clinical practice, research projects, and professional development, promoting a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments, such as neonatology, surgery, and family medicine, to provide comprehensive healthcare for children and engage in interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Professional Development : Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatrics and medical education through continuous professional development, attending conferences, and participating in professional pediatric organizations.
• Administrative Responsibilities : Participate in departmental governance, serve on academic committees, contribute to policy development, and help manage resources and activities related to the pediatric department.
• Teach courses in their subject area.
• Work with students who are studying for a degree or a certificate or certification or are taking classes to improve their knowledge or career skills.
• Develop an instructional plan (known as a course outline or syllabus) for the course(s) they teach and ensure that it meets college and department standards.
• Plan lessons and assignments.
• Work with colleagues to develop or modify the curriculum for a degree or certificate program involving a series of courses.
• Assess students? progress by grading papers, tests, and other work.
• Advise students about which classes to take and how to achieve their goals.
• Stay informed about changes and innovations in their field.
