Job Overview: As a PDI Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, performing necessary adjustments, and ensuring that each vehicle is in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspection: Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Testing: Perform functional tests on all vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and safety features, ensuring they operate correctly.
• Adjustments: Make necessary adjustments and repairs to vehicles, such as aligning wheels, adjusting headlights, and correcting fluid levels.
• Documentation: Complete detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of work performed, including any issues found and corrections made.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the service department and sales team to address any vehicle concerns and communicate findings effectively.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all vehicles are cleaned and polished, ready for customer delivery, while adhering to the company's quality standards.
• Compliance: Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive technology preferred.
• Proven experience as a PDI Technician or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
