Job Summary:

The Payroll Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role involves maintaining payroll records, calculating earnings and deductions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing:
• Collect, verify, and process employee time and attendance data.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments, etc.).
• Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes (promotions, salary adjustments, etc.) in the payroll system.
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Prepare and file payroll taxes, social security, unemployment, and other government-required payments and reports.
• Assist in preparing for audits and ensuring payroll records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Record Maintenance:
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Update employee payroll information in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
• Prepare payroll-related reports for management, including labor cost analysis, tax liability, and other payroll metrics.
• Communication and Support:
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and other related matters.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Provide support during payroll audits and year-end activities, including W-2 processing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
