Job Description

• Assessment and Evaluation : Conducting initial assessments to understand patients' backgrounds, mental health history, current issues, and treatment goals.
• Counseling and Therapy : Providing individual, group, or family therapy sessions to help patients address and manage their mental health challenges. This may involve using various therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, or other evidence-based practices.
• Treatment Planning : Developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, setting realistic goals, and outlining steps to achieve them.
• Education and Support : Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Crisis Intervention : Providing immediate support and intervention during mental health crises or emergencies.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping : Maintaining accurate and confidential records of patient sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Collaboration : Working closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and medical doctors, to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment.
• Advocacy : Advocating for patients' needs and rights within healthcare systems and communities.
• Continuing Education : Keeping up-to-date with developments in the field of mental health counseling through continuing education, workshops, and professional development activities.
• Ethical Standards : Adhering to ethical standards and guidelines established by professional counseling associations, such as maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient autonomy.
• Self-care and Supervision : Practicing self-care to prevent burnout and seeking supervision or consultation when necessary to maintain effective therapeutic practices.
• Research and Evaluation : Contributing to research initiatives or evaluating the effectiveness of counseling interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
