Department: Front Office
Job Purpose:
To provide efficient and compassionate care to OPD patients, assist consultants in patient consultation, maintain cleanliness and equipment in OPD areas, and manage patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care & Assistance:
• Provide proper care and attention to OPD patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Call patients from the waiting area and guide them through the consultation process.
• Assist consultants during patient examinations and procedures.
• Patient Guidance & Escorting:
• Guide patients post-consultation regarding next steps such as pharmacy, diagnostics, or endoscopy services.
• Escort patients to senior consultants if referred, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care.
• OPD Maintenance:
• Ensure that all OPD areas are properly cleaned and well-maintained, providing a hygienic and safe environment for patients.
• Maintain proper inventory of medical and diagnostic equipment in consultation rooms and OPD cabins.
• Documentation & Record Maintenance:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date OPD records, including patient details, consultation notes, and referrals.
• Ensure all patient documentation is properly filed and easily accessible for medical staff.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely consultations.
• Collaborate with consultants and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma, B.Sc / B.Com or any related fields
• Experience: Previous experience in OPD settings or healthcare environments is preferred.
• Skills:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
