Key Responsibilities :
• Pastry Preparation : Prepare a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and taste.
• Menu Development : Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal or special dessert menus, incorporating creativity and innovation.
• Quality Control : Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency. Ensure all pastries and desserts are made with precision and attention to detail.
• Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory of baking ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels and quality of supplies. Report any shortages or issues.
• Baking Techniques : Utilize advanced baking techniques and tools to create a wide range of pastry items, such as cakes, tarts, mousses, and artisan breads.
• Work Environment : Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Team Collaboration : Supervise and mentor pastry assistants or junior staff members, providing training and ensuring they follow established recipes and techniques.
• Customer Experience : Contribute to the overall guest experience by creating visually appealing and flavorful desserts that exceed expectations.
• Innovation : Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously bring fresh ideas and techniques to the pastry offerings.
