Pastry Chef de Partie

A Pastry Chef de Partie is a skilled culinary professional responsible for overseeing and executing a specific section within a pastry kitchen. This role requires a strong foundation in pastry arts, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pastry Production:

• Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, tarts, cookies, breads, and chocolates.

• Follow recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality.

• Decorate and present pastries to the highest standards.

• Ingredient Management:

• Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.

• Place orders for necessary items.

• Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

• Kitchen Operations:

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

• Teamwork and Collaboration:

• Work closely with the pastry team to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.

• Contribute to menu planning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations.

• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow.

• Food safety certification (if required).

• Ability to stand for long periods.

• Work Hours: 9am - 7pm
