Partner with Plant operations and supply chain teams to arrive at financial strategies and solutions to evaluate sales performance and benchmark cost elements of business. Timely realization of cost reduction opportunities and export incentives.
Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure required MIS reports get circulated accurately, on a timely basis and reviewed with the management team
  • Analyze planned vs. actual production, deviation in production plans, project wise material reconciliation, yield & wastage analysis, overhead cost, budget vs. actual fixed costs at monthly, quarter and annual frequency
  • Analyzing & reporting of purchase price variance (PPV) vs. budget and previous year
  • Partnering with procurement team on pricing & vendor payment strategy
  • Support Supply & Operations planning process by bringing in relevant insights about Inventory, sales trends and other measures as necessary
  • Ensure that proper internal controls are in place at the plant
  • Responsible for COGS reconciliation and variance analysis between standard and actual cost
  • Undertake inventory valuation on a monthly basis. Inventory verification on periodic basis and accounting for it on timely basis.
  • Fixed assets accounting incl. capitalization, CWIP monitoring on regular basis and depreciation run on monthly basis. Fixed Asset schedule preparation for year end audit.
  • Inventory analysis, monitoring and controlling. Review inventory of RM, WIP, and FG, Days of inventory outstanding (DIO); Provide necessary insights about inventory in S&OP; Propose inventory related provision as per Accounting policy and recommend Inventory liquidation and write-offs plans as per company\xe2\x80\x99s DOA
  • Liaising with the cost accountants and ensuring timely completion of cost audit
  • Develop visual dashboards for fixed overheads/manufacturing overhead cost as part of Lean programs
  • Optimize cost and inventory across value chain

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education: CMA/CA
Experience:
CMA: 3-6 years CA: 0-3 years
Skills & Competencies:
  • In depth understanding of accounting concepts
  • Asset Accounting
  • SAP FICO experience desired
