Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated individual to join our team as a part-time online faculty member specializing in cyber security. This role involves teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in acquiring essential skills and knowledge in cyber security practices, protocols, and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Course Delivery:
• Design and deliver online lectures, workshops, and hands-on exercises covering fundamental and advanced topics in cyber security, including but not limited to: network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, threat detection and response, secure coding practices, and compliance frameworks.
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry standards, emerging threats, and best practices.
• Facilitate discussions and interactive sessions to engage students and promote learning.
• Student Support and Mentorship:
• Provide constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments to help students improve their skills.
• Mentor and guide students in understanding complex cyber security concepts and applying them effectively.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success and professional growth.
• Curriculum Development:
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance existing courses and develop new content aligned with industry trends and technological advancements.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in cyber security to ensure curriculum relevance and currency.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cyber security, including hands-on experience with security tools and technologies. Prior teaching or training experience is advantageous.
• Skills:
• Deep understanding of cyber security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Proficiency in areas such as network security, penetration testing, incident response, and risk management.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools and frameworks used in cyber security operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Commitment to student success and passion for teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with online teaching platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
• Certification in teaching or instructional design.
• Active involvement in the cyber security community through research, publications, or professional associations.

Working Conditions:

• This position is part-time and remote, offering flexibility in scheduling to accommodate students across different time zones.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and necessary technology for conducting online lectures and interacting with students virtually is essential.
