Overview: We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a part-time online faculty member specializing in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI). This role involves teaching, mentoring, and guiding students through courses that cover various aspects of the BFSI sector, ensuring they acquire relevant skills and knowledge required for careers in finance and insurance industries.
Responsibilities:
• Course Delivery:
• Design and deliver online lectures, seminars, and workshops covering topics such as banking operations, financial markets, risk management, insurance principles, and regulatory frameworks.
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in BFSI.
• Engage students through case studies, simulations, and real-world scenarios to enhance learning and application of concepts.
• Student Support and Mentorship:
• Provide constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments to help students improve their understanding and skills.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters, fostering their professional growth in the BFSI sector.
• Create a supportive and interactive online learning environment conducive to student success.
• Curriculum Development:
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to review existing courses and develop new content as per industry demands and academic standards.
• Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance the effectiveness of online instruction.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and grades using the university's learning management system (LMS).
• Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and professional development activities as required.
Requirements:
• Education: Master's or PhD in Finance, Banking, Insurance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACII) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the BFSI sector, with a strong understanding of banking operations, financial markets, insurance principles, and regulatory compliance. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Skills:
• Expertise in BFSI concepts, practices, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and support students from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in online teaching platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
• Commitment to academic excellence, continuous learning, and student-centered teaching methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience teaching or training in an online education environment.
• Research or publications in BFSI-related topics.
• Active involvement in professional organizations or networks within the BFSI industry.
Working Conditions:
• This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours to accommodate students across different time zones.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and necessary technology for delivering online lectures and interacting with students virtually is essential.
