Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a part-time online faculty member specializing in data science and machine learning. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to the development of our curriculum to ensure students gain practical skills and knowledge in this rapidly evolving field.

Responsibilities:

• Course Delivery:
• Design and deliver online lectures, tutorials, and hands-on workshops covering key topics in data science and machine learning, including but not limited to: data preprocessing, statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry practices and technological advancements.
• Engage students through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises.
• Student Support and Mentorship:
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments.
• Mentor students to help them navigate challenges and achieve their learning objectives.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success and engagement.
• Curriculum Development:
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance existing courses and develop new content aligned with industry trends and best practices.
• Stay abreast of developments in data science and machine learning to ensure curriculum relevance and currency.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

• Education: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field. Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, data visualization techniques, and data manipulation tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Passion for education and commitment to student success.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with online teaching platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
• Certification in teaching or instructional design.
• Active participation in the data science or machine learning community through research, publications, or professional associations.

Working Conditions:

• This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours to accommodate students in different time zones.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and necessary technology for conducting online lectures and interacting with students virtually is essential.
