Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Functional Engineers / Lead Engineers with a strong technical background in the areas of Camera, Radar, Parking Assistance & Driver Assistance Systems
Mercedes Benz Park Assistance System assists the driver comprehensively in the search for a parking space and can pilot the vehicle into and out of parallel and end-on parking spaces. The reversing camera and the Active Parking Assist PARKTRONIC help to reduce the risk of collisions with obstacles at the front, side and rear of the vehicle. The Parking Pilot can detect parallel and end-on parking spaces on the driver and front-passenger, assists and enables automatic parking with automatic steering and braking interventions.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Complete responsible for the customer functions assigned
Define and manage product component requirements
Work with the system supplier to fulfill functional requirements
Conduct system and vehicle tests for functional validation of system
Participate in review of Product component architecture & design
Analysis of Defects and propose solutions
Optimize State Machine
Define Fail-safe mechanisms
Ability to test functionality on HiL or vehicle

Basic Qualification:
Bachelor\'s degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science
4-6 years of relevant experience in automotive domain

Key Skills and Experience:
Automotive System Engineering and Development experience
Experience with Automotive Electrical and Electronics
Experience as System Software Engineer responsible for customer functions
Exposure in one of the following areas - Park Assistant systems, Ultrasonic sensors, Camera or Radar Based assistance systems
Knowhow in Camera / Radar / HMI / Ultrasonic sensors / Parking systems
Usage of Requirement management and Defect management tools - Eg. DOORS, JIRA
Vehicle/HiL integration tests for functional validation
Requirements Elicitation and Management activities
Debugging skills using of Vector CAN tools - CANOE, CANApe
Exposure to in-vehicle measurement systems and flashing tools
FLEXRAY protocol knowledge

Additional Skills:
Exposure to Driver/Park Assistance systems - Preferred
Usage of ADAS tools for test data / video analysis
Exposure to ISO26262 Functional Safety standards & ASPICE
Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
German Language skills
Vehicle driving Skills is Mandatory

Basic Qualification:
Bachelor\'s degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science
4-6 years of relevant experience in automotive domain
