Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paramedic to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide life-stabilizing medical care inside an ambulance. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assessing patient conditions, administering emergency care, and communicating effectively with hospital staff. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standard of emergency medical services and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Care:
• Assess the patient's condition and determine the necessary medical treatment.
• Administer emergency medical care and life support to patients during transportation to the hospital.
• Use medical equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen tanks, and IVs to stabilize patients.
• Monitor and record the patient's vital signs and medical history.
• Communication:
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the hospital staff about the patient's condition and the care provided.
• Provide detailed handover reports to hospital staff upon arrival.
• Record Keeping:
• Document all patient care activities, including treatment provided, medications administered, and patient responses.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient care reports and other necessary documentation.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide efficient and effective medical care on-site and during transport.
• Work closely with EMTs and other emergency responders to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Ensure all medical equipment and supplies are in good working condition and properly stocked.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance on medical equipment and ambulance supplies.

Duties Performed by EMTs:

• Provide basic life support and emergency medical care.
• Assist paramedics in administering advanced medical care.
• Perform CPR, control bleeding, and manage shock.
• Immobilize patients and provide appropriate transport techniques.
• Assist in lifting and moving patients safely.

Qualifications:

• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced situations.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.
• Education and Certifications:
• Certification as a Paramedic or EMT.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in medical or health-related fields is preferred.
