Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to support our legal and compliance efforts across diverse business units. The ideal candidate will assist in managing legal documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting contract negotiations. This role is critical to maintaining the company's adherence to international trade laws, quality control standards, and operational integrity across our global and domestic ventures.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Documentation:
Draft, review, and organize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for all business units.
Maintain a comprehensive database of legal records and ensure timely updates.
Assist in the preparation of legal correspondence and reports.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, especially for food exports to the USA.
Research and interpret regulations related to quality standards, packaging, and batter manufacturing.
Coordinate with quality control teams to align operations with applicable laws.
Contract Management:
Review vendor and client agreements to identify risks and ensure compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with external legal counsel during contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
Monitor contract timelines, renewals, and obligations.
Corporate Governance:
Support the preparation and filing of corporate documentation, including business licenses and registrations.
Assist in managing board meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
Ensure the company adheres to local and international business laws.
Risk Assessment:
Assist in identifying potential legal risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
Conduct due diligence for new partnerships, acquisitions, or business expansions.
Prepare risk assessment reports for the leadership team.
Liaison & Communication:
Act as a point of contact between the company and external legal counsel.
Facilitate communication between legal, compliance, and operational teams to resolve legal issues.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of corporate and contract law, particularly in the context of global trade.
Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret complex legal language and provide clear, concise summaries.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
