& Responsibilities - Therapist

1. Working Schedule with time will be displayed in the Scheduling desk . It will be informed over phone to all the Therapist by the Scheduling staff, and therapist to follow this time Schedule without fail.

2. Therapist to report to duty 15 minutes before the Duty Hrs.

3. Therapist will collect the Job card from the Scheduling desk with the Signature of the Scheduling staff.

4. Please Check the Job card for the following details :

A) Name of the Patient with UHID No

B) Room no of the Patient

C) Scheduled treatment of the patient

D) Instructions to be followed while doing therapy

E) Oil to be used for therapy

F) Duration of therapy to be performed

G) Name of the Therapist

H) Name of the Treating Dr.

I) Time scheduled for therapy.

J) Scheduled treatment room of the Patient.

K) Signature column for the therapist.

5. Therapist to read the Job card for Patient and treatment details , Instructions and for the duration of the treatment.

6. Therapist to collect the Vessels and Oils from Preparation in advance , along-with the respective Kizhis & Medicines for the Patient from the Therapy Implementation Desk.

7. Therapist also need to collect the accessories like towels, gloves etc from the Therapy Implementation Desk.

8. Therapist to keep all the items collected from Preparation & Implementaton desk in the Scheduled treatment room.

9. Therapist to bring the Patient from the Patient room . To confirm the identity , therapist to call the Patient by Name with appropriate salutation and check the UHID No and it is mandatory.

10. In case of treatment of IP attender , identity check is also compulsory.

11. OPT treatment - Therapists to collect the Patient from Kaya Reception upon PCE confirmation by Patient's Name & UHID No.

12. Therapist to ensure that the therapies are started , as per the time Schedule as mentioned in the Job card.

13. Therapists will assist , if necessary, in preparing the patient ready for therapy.

14. Pathy height will be adjusted by the Therapist, to enable the Patient to set down on the Pathy.

15. As soon as the patient lay down on the Pathy, Therapy starting time will be intimated to the Patient by the Therapists with proper salutation by showing the Wall clock provided in the treatment room.

16. Therapy will be conducted as per SOP & Instructions, as mentioned in the Job card.

17. Therapists will inform the End time of Therapy to the Patient.

18. Patient's foot to be wiped with a towel and patient will be advised for bathing, on completion of therapy.

19. Therapist to record the Start Time & End Time of the Treatment in the Job card and get the Signature of the Patient .

20. If the patient is Vulnerable Therapist will get the Signature from the Patient's attender .

21. On completion of therapy & Job card updation , Therapist to assist the Patient to return to their respective rooms.

22. Kaya Block PCE will collect Feedback from the OPT patient.

23. Therapist to clean the pathy, stove, handle of Steam chamber , credenza etc. and confirm that he/ she has taken away all the materials , vessels, oils etc used for the treatment after the completion of Session at the time of Patient bathing.

24. Used Kizhis will be disposed in the Yellow coloured dust Bin provided inside the Treatment room.

25. Bio-medical waste will be disposed off as per the Procedure, at the time of patient bathing.

26. Therapist to record about the Treatment details of each patient , in the Log Book at Scheduling desk.

27. Feedback regarding the Patient's condition, improvements, developments, pain aggravation, buring sensation, any positive / negative feedback which they observe / get from the Patient , also will be recorded in the Log Book , by the Therapist.

28. Therapist to submit the Completed Job card to the Scheduling staff.

29. Vessels, remaining Oil, if any , will be returned to the Preparation department / Medicine room.

30. Proper Handwash will be done by the Therapists by following Handwash technique, after returning the Vessels to Preparation..

General :

1. Therapist should follow the Instructions & Procedures as trained & explained to them .

2. Therapist to contact Scheduling desk for any Assistance required in the treatment room over intercom Phone. Do not allow the patient to be alone in the Treatment room.

3. Therapist should use appropriate PPEs like Mask, Head Band etc inside the treatment room , while doing therapy.

4. Technical feedback should be given to the concerned MOs / JMOs.

5. Non- technical feedback / any requirement / any fault in the Equipment / any inconvenience faced by them inside the treatment room should be informed to the Scheduling staff and it should be written in the Log Book provided in the Scheduling desk.

6. Therapist should ensure that the Music system is On while doing therapy, except in J-Block.

7. Sharing of Personal Information between the therapists and the Patients should be avoided.

8. For Panchakarma Supervision, if MOs / JMOs are not available on time, it should be intimated to the Scheduling desk and the Scheduling staff will communicate the same to the concerned MOs / JMOs and arrange for the same.

9. In case of emergency / if there is some difficulty faced by the Patient while doing the therapy, it should be intimated to the Scheduling desk and the Scheduling staff will call the concerned MOs / JMOs and arrange for their attending to the Patient.

10. Therapists to use Pathy Bed on the Pathy for all the treatments except Tailadhara, Nhavarakizhi etc., as educated during training.

11. Therapist to inform the concerned Nurses station and intimate the Nurses to provide Vasti food to the respective patient by mentioning the Name & Room No. of the Patient.

12. Therapists will clear out their Technical enquires / doubts with Panchakarma-in-Charge and Non-technical Enquires / doubts will be handled by Manager - Technical Operations.

13. Participation in the General Body Meeting and Training Programme is compulsory.

14. Late coming & Absenteeism are not acceptable.

15. Grooming should be followed as per AVN's procedure and Grooming check will be arranged by Panchakarma In-charge.

16. Leave Policy Procedure should be followed for availing the leave.

17. Organization Core Values of Transparency, Integrity, Patient Care, Respect and Suggestion / Innovation to be followed by the Therapist in all activities.

18. Mobile Phones are not allowed during Working hours inside the Hospital.
