Job Summary:

The Packing Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the packaging team, ensuring that food products are packed efficiently, accurately, and according to food safety and quality standards. The role requires leadership skills to manage staff, optimize production schedules, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

Packing Supervisor - Food Industry

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision & Team Management:

• Lead, train, and supervise packaging team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Assign tasks and manage shift schedules to ensure production targets are met.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity.
• Ensure proper use of machinery and equipment by team members.

2. Production Management:

• Oversee the daily packaging process, ensuring that it aligns with production plans.
• Monitor packaging line efficiency and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the production and quality teams to meet delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure packaging equipment operates efficiently.

3. Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure that all packaging activities adhere to food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000).
• Conduct inspections to ensure products are packed according to quality and labeling standards.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with government and industry regulations.
• Implement corrective actions in case of non-conformities or product quality issues.

4. Health, Safety, and Hygiene:

• Enforce workplace safety standards and protocols within the packaging area.
• Conduct safety training and toolbox talks with the team.
• Ensure that employees follow sanitation procedures and that packaging areas are kept clean and organized.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of production outputs, waste, and downtime.
• Prepare shift or daily reports on packaging performance and any issues.
• Track inventory of packaging materials and coordinate with the procurement team.
• Ensure all documentation required for audits and inspections is up to date.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Food Technology, Operations, or related field (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, etc.).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Experience in operating and troubleshooting packaging equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?22,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
