Job Title: Outward Executive - Warehouse Operations

Location: Nacharam, Hyderabad

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Overview:

The Outbound Executive will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the outbound logistics of books and publishing materials within the warehouse. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely dispatch of all shipments, while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards. The Outbound Executive plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by managing the distribution process effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Fulfilment & Dispatch:

Manage the daily order fulfilment process, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of books and other publishing materials to clients, retailers, and distributors. Coordinate with the packing team to ensure accurate packaging of orders as per specifications.

Track all outgoing shipments and ensure that delivery timelines are adhered to.

2. Inventory Management:

Maintain up-to-date records of outbound inventory and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager. Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy. Ensure all outgoing items are correctly recorded in the warehouse management system.

3. Logistics Coordination:

Work with transportation partners and couriers to schedule pick-ups and ensure timely delivery. Monitor and optimize routes and delivery schedules to improve cost-efficiency.

Resolve any transportation or logistics issues that arise, including delays, cancellations, or damaged shipments.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare necessary shipping documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, and tracking details. Compile daily, weekly, and monthly outbound shipment reports for management review. Track key metrics, such as order accuracy, dispatch time, and returns, and provide insights to improve operations.

5. Customer Service & Communication: Address client inquiries related to shipments, delays, or any other outbound concerns.

Coordinate with the customer service team to communicate order status and resolve any issues affecting outbound shipments.

Maintain professional and positive communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitor and implement best practices in warehouse and distribution safety.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree

3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, particularly in outbound logistics within the publishing or related industry.

Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS). Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and other relevant software.
