SUMMARY OF COMPANY

Energy Alloys Global Solutions, a BioUrja Group company, is a global distributor of corrosion resistant steel and chromium alloy metals to the oil and gas industry. Our main products include mechanical tubes, OCTG tubes, casing and coupling stock, bars, liners, and semi-finished alloy products, all of which are available for immediate shipment. We carry Chrome, Nickel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Alloys, and Titanium of various sizes in stock. Energy Alloys Global Solutions also provides complete OD and ID machining, heat treating, straightening and cut-to-length services.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will play a key role in the overall success of the manufacturing in India by developing and implementing a system/procedures for cost-effective outsourcing of machining as well as all associated outsourcing operations associated with manufacturing and supplying turn-key products to EAGS worldwide locations, that is aligned with the company policy. This position will report to the Director of Manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Create and execute policies/programs for outsource machining/manufacturing and to ensure high quality, low cost, and timely delivery of product.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers (Machine-shops / job-shops / surface treatment suppliers) who can deliver quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Be able to look at part drawings (and relevant specifications), evaluate machining / manufacturing requirements, identify shops that we can sub-contract to, obtain quotes, negotiate pricing / delivery, place orders with relevant sub-contractors, coordinate with worldwide EAGS locations with regards to raw material supply, oversee production at sub-contractors, verify product conformance as specified in drawings/specifications, and coordinate with other functions in India (e.g. shipping / logistics, etc.) to ship product in a timely manner.
• Guarantee excellent communications within the organization at corporate level with strong internal communication.
• Establish and maintain cost control standards.
• Set up, execute and enforce goals/KPIs for vendor performance
• Create production tracking and analyze production at sub-contractor's location to determine problems and suggest processing changes as required.
• Collaborate with the Dubai / India QHSE managers to establish and maintain a quality control program and all required QHSE policies/procedures at vendor facilities.
• Develop MOC and Risk Identification / Mitigation policies/procedure that we are always able to deliver a quality product in a timely manner.
• Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by the subcontractors.
• Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects.
• Establish and manage processes to evaluate third party manufacturers / suppliers who can provide services to a point that we can bring them in-house.
• Manage all third-party manufacturing/services/processes including negotiate and maintain contracts, and scheduling of workload
• Communicate and collaborate with other stakeholders - customers, managers, suppliers, and contractors
• Establish, maintain and report on KPI's for themselves.

• Additional responsibilities / tasks (as required by organizational senior management) as an when required.

QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT

• In close collaboration with the Director of Manufacturing and the Dubai / India QHS&E Managers, ensure that our sub-contractors maintain a robust QHSE Management system.
• Establish a Root Cause Failure Analysis process for investigating defectively manufactured/non-conforming products
• Support Quality/Sales group(s) with customer pre-production meetings

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial) or other technical discipline, and/or MBA from a reputable institute.
• Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA, or a MBA with hands-on extensive Discrete Manufacturing experience in a high SKU / low volume machining environment.
• Minimum 10 years of management experience of which, a minimum of 7 years in Out-source manufacturing in an established QHSE licensed/certified company.
• High degree of familiarity with QHSE Management systems (ISO 9000 / 14000 /18000, and API Q1 / Spec 7-1, Spec 5CT, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to work with multi-discipline teams, and in a matrix environment
• Demonstrated history of strong leadership when it comes to dealing with subcontractors - including, but not limited to price and delivery negotiations.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing equipment technologies - CNC machines, lathes, mills, turn-mills, grinding, heat treating, boring, welding, robotics, surface treatment (coatings / platings, carburizing / nitriding, induction/laser hardening, overlays, additive manufacturing, etc.)
• Possess good 2D & 3D CAD skills or as a minimum be able to read / understand / interpret engineering drawings.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point experience
• Knowledge of typical oilfield grades of steel and their properties.
• Experience in the manufacturing of down hole oilfield equipment strongly preferred (Drilling / Remedial / Completions)
• Understanding of basic oilfield practices and applications
• Familiarity with IT systems (ERP / MRP) is a must.
• Exceptional dub-contractor management and conflict resolution skills.
• National / International experience in the OFS industry (either OEM or their suppliers) is a definite plus.

• Ability to travel to countries EAGS operates in and also visit suppliers as needed or required.
