Roles and Responsibilities

Overall Role

We are seeking an Sr. Assistant Manager for Outreach and Networking activity for establishing and maintaining relationships with top-notch educational institutes across India. The primary objective is to identify deserving scholars for the Kotak Kanya Scholarship. This work also involves fostering strong, meaningful relationships with our Alumni and leveraging these efforts to improve Alumni ownership, engagement and collaboration. Besides, the role also involves administering job placement for students with the aim of expanding and improving job placement outcomes for students. The Senior Assistant Manager - s will be responsible for end-to-end management of the Outreach, networking and Alumni engagement and placement activity across all excel projects and perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

Outreach and Collaboration with Colleges-

? Identify potential colleges and institutions for partnership for the scholarship.

? Promotion of Kotak Kanya scholarship in esteemed institutions across India.

? Establishing partnership with colleges to identify potential scholarship candidates and opportunities for collaboration.

? Plan and execute outreach campaigns to raise awareness about the scholarship program among students, educators, and academic institutions.

? Ensuring adequate deserving applications for the scholarship.

Alumni Network Related:

Develops and implements Alumni Reengagement Strategy to meet Strategic Plan goals by increasing the number of alumni volunteers and alumni donors.

Plan, organize and implement programs to maintain and promote alumni interest and support for the Excel scholars. Ensures effective coordination with internal teams related to Alumni Relations.

Establish and sustain an active Alumni chapter committee that creates projects and spaces at the intersection of the vision and needs of the Alumni community and excel scholars.

Support the Alumni chapter with project management, event logistics and user experience

Design and execute new initiatives that will bring the Alumni to mobilize people/resources, advocate for shared causes and collaborate with each other.

Own the design and execution of large-scale events like education conferences, regional conclaves etc. to make collective progress visible and instill a sense of pride

Moderate local Alumni email distribution lists, WhatsApp/Telegram groups and other social media channels

Building learning communities:

Identify and nurture key Alumni in the region who can anchor Communities of Practice (CoPs) across various prioritized pathways within education

Invite Alumni to galvanize around high leverage problem statements and inspire action on key barriers faced by children in the region

Create a regional entrepreneurs' collective and organize recurring spaces for peer learning and support

Managing data & impact:

Maintain an updated Alumni database that tells us where our Alumni are, the roles they play and the health of their community.

Set up systems to track and report Alumni engagement data across projects and periodically share these with project teams

Use the database to accurately record, track and report Alumni donations and other supports received bys the alumnus

Liaise with the Communications Lead to plan creative campaigns, newsletters podcasts, reports, websites etc. that spread stories of individual and collective impact within and beyond the local Alumni community of the students as and when required

Student Placement:

Develop, implement and manage a variety of job placement and work-based learning activities for students, including assessment for job readiness, career exploration, navigation, coaching and/or counselling, and job preparation skills training.

Provide direct support to students, including information and guidance about requirements of specific occupations; job market trends; proper work habits; and techniques for competing for jobs, including appropriate dress, preparing resumes, and interviewing strategies.

Research on latest job opportunities and placement trends and reach out to companies for placement and conduct workshops to advice students accordingly

Connect students to employers by facilitating interviews, matching students to internship sites, participation in job recruitment fairs etc and assisting with job placement.

Provide support for student participation in job placement activities, including documentation, transportation, and communication between employers and students.

Record keeping of placements offered by companies and students placed.

Educational

Qualification

Post-graduation /Graduation or relevant qualification in / Business Administration /Marketing /Public relations / Social Sciences/Social Work/Education

Years of Experience

9+ Years in experience preferably in social sector with 3/4 years' minimum experience in alumni relations and external relations or a minimum of 3 years' work experience in a university/college placement cell. Experience of working with youth and knowledge of opportunities and challenges faced by youth is a must.
