Job Description

• Staff Management: Assigning nursing staff and anesthesia technicians to shifts, ensuring adequate staffing for each surgical procedure.
• Surgical Scheduling: Coordinating surgical schedules, managing booking registers, and ensuring optimal utilization of operating rooms.
• Pre-operative preparation: Checking availability of all necessary instruments, equipment, supplies, and medications required for each surgery.
• Aseptic Technique: Maintaining strict adherence to sterile practices and infection control protocols within the operating theatre.
• Patient Care: Ensuring proper patient positioning, monitoring during surgery, and coordinating with the surgical team for smooth procedure flow.
• Emergency Management: Being prepared to handle any surgical emergencies and coordinating with the anesthesia team
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly checking and maintaining the functionality of all surgical equipment
• Quality Assurance: Monitoring and documenting all aspects of surgical procedures to ensure quality standards are met
• Collaboration: Working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth communication and coordinated patient care
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient details, complications, and any incidents
• Inventory Management: Maintaining proper inventory of surgical supplies and consumables, including tracking expiry dates
• Staff Training: Providing ongoing training and education to OT staff on new procedures, equipment, and safety protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
