Job Summary:
To prepare and cook high-quality Oriental dishes, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and contributing to the success of the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
1. Prepare and cook Oriental dishes (e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai) to perfection.
2. Follow recipes and menus planned by the Executive Chef.
3. Ensure presentation and garnishing meet hotel standards.
Kitchen Operations:
1. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in assigned areas.
2. Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols.
3. Report equipment issues and maintenance needs.
Team Collaboration:
1. Assist senior chefs and colleagues.
2. Participate in kitchen meetings and training sessions.
3. Foster teamwork and positive work environment.
Inventory Management:
1. Monitor and control ingredient usage.
2. Assist in stock taking and inventory management.
Quality Control:
1. Ensure dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
2. Conduct taste tests and adjust seasoning.
Requirements:
Education:
- Hotel Management or Culinary Arts diploma/degree.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in Oriental cuisine.
- Experience in a 4/5-star hotel or upscale restaurant.
Skills:
- Oriental cuisine expertise.
- Knife skills and food presentation.
- Time management and organization.
- Teamwork and communication.
