Position Title: Order Taker

Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Order Taker to join our cafe team. The Order Taker will be responsible for greeting customers, taking their orders accurately and efficiently, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers warmly as they enter the cafe and provide them with menus.

2. Take customers' orders accurately and enter them into the POS (Point of Sale) system promptly.

3. Provide recommendations and answer any questions customers may have about the menu items.

4. Ensure order accuracy by verifying each order before sending it to the kitchen.

5. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.

6. Process payments from customers and handle cash transactions accurately.

7. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the order station and dining area.

8. Assist with other duties such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining inventory levels as needed.

9. Uphold the cafe's standards of customer service and contribute to a positive dining atmosphere.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food service industry.

- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain composure during busy periods.

- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
