Job Summary:

An Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is a highly specialized dental professional who performs surgical procedures on the mouth, jaw, face, and related structures. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing complex conditions, injuries, and diseases of the oral and maxillofacial regions. The surgeon works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Treatment Planning:
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for a variety of conditions, including dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, and oral cancers.
• Review medical histories and perform physical examinations to determine the best course of action.
• Surgical Procedures:
• Perform a range of surgical procedures including but not limited to tooth extractions, reconstructive surgery, jaw realignment, and tumor removals.
• Administer anesthesia and sedation, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technology to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Patient Care:
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure successful recovery and address any complications.
• Educate patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and aftercare instructions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for each patient, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with general dentists, orthodontists, oncologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and surgical procedures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ?35,000.00 per month
