Job Description

1. Database Installation and Configuration>> Deploy and set up Oracle databases in accordance with industry best practices, ensuring optimal performance and security.

2. Performance Tuning>> Monitor and optimize database performance, addressing bottlenecks, query optimization, and resource utilization to enhance overall system efficiency.

3. Security Management>> Implement and maintain robust security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing, to safeguard sensitive financial data in compliance with industry regulations.

4. Backup and Recovery>> Develop and execute comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of system failures or disasters.

5. Patch Management>> Stay current with Oracle database releases and security patches, applying updates promptly to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain a secure database environment.

6. Database Design and Modelling>> Collaborate with application developers and architects to design and model databases that meet the bank's requirements for data integrity, scalability, and performance.

7. High Availability Solutions>> Implement and manage high availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard to ensure continuous access to critical banking systems.

8. Capacity Planning>> Analyse and forecast database growth patterns, recommending, and implementing scalable solutions to accommodate the increasing data volumes associated with banking operations.

9. Database Monitoring>> Utilize monitoring tools to track database performance metrics, proactively identify issues, and respond promptly to incidents to minimize impact on banking services.

10. Documentation>> Maintain thorough documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring a comprehensive knowledge base for troubleshooting and future reference.

Pay: ?2,331,203.36 - ?2,926,174.86 per year
