ROLE:

Oracle Database Administrator and Postgress DBA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage multiple oracle databases in different sizes of TBs and GBs and provide HA environment for critical database as per business requirement and also Provide production support for any database related issues.


- Configure and setup Oracle Data guard (physical standby) for DR purpose. Testing switchover and failover between primary and standby database.


- Setting up Maintenance plans as per the requirements for Backups/Stats/Index Re-build/Shrinking of Databases.


- Performing regular Deployments for both Prod and Developments under Postgress DB as per the user request.


- Backup and Recovery using RMAN Methodologies and Datapump.


- Installation, creation of Oracle Databases, Refreshing Prod/Dev/Test schemas, Health Checkup of the Databases.


- Performance Tuning Issues, Blocking Session management and Fixing ORA errors with permanent resolutions.


- Space Management under ASM, Managing Disc groups, Tablespace and file systems.


- Managing the Service Now ticketing Queue


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills


- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and on weekends.


- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues.


- Appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills.
