Oracle Database Administrator & SQL Database Administrator - Bangalore/Pune

What you will be doing :

Oracle DBA

Database performance monitoring and tuning: Closely monitor performance, identify problems and perform RCA and implement solutions.

Database backup/recovery: Ensure that data recovery time objectives are established and met, verify implementation of accurate backup strategy, develop recovery procedures, support recovery from loss of data caused by user or system error, should be well versed in RMAN.

Install and upgrade/patch ORACLE (10g to 19c) on various environments,

automate/improve monitoring procedures at regular intervals.

use or develop tools to reorganize or defragment database table spaces, tables, and indexes.

provide innovative and efficient solutions to maximize productivity and improve performance

SQL DBA :

Meets commitments and provides excellent customer service at all times with internal and external clients.

Provides status reports (written and/or verbal) that are detailed to tasks and difficulties encountered \xe2\x80\x93 enables managers to initiate escalation if necessary and assess areas where changes or additional support may be warranted.

Ensures issues resulting in customer outage is escalated appropriately through TSG management.

Assists application groups with design development that meet current and future business requirements:

Participates in logical design process of strategic projects and responsible for the physical design/implementation.

Provides specific direction on infrastructure design to support applications.

Participates as a member of development support team on projects.

Follows and meets project timelines and deadlines.

Provides maintenance of physical database:

Creates physical database objectives following established standards and processes employed by database team.

What you bring :

Oracle DBA

Minimum 6 Years experience as a Oracle database engineer/DBA.

Extensive knowledge and solid troubleshooting experience in the following areas

RAC, ASM, Golden gate ,Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), DG Broker

Experience in handling complex database recovery scenarios

Experience in database migrations and upgrades

Experience in troubleshooting various installation and patching issues

Experience in Oracle engineered systems like Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance

Experience in Golden Gate replication

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure - quick thinking and remaining calm during stressful situations.

Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends .

Ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues.

Appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills.

SQL DBA :

Should be very good in TSQL Scripting, Writing Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning of Queries and

Stored Procedures

Should have knowledge on SQL Server Architecture.

Should have Knowledge on Database Administration activities (like Backup, Recovery, High availability Solutions and Replication)

Should be a good team player and ready to work with other team members to resolve issues

Should be Willing to working on rotational shifts, if necessary on night shifts

Should be Willing to provide Oncall support during weekends on rotation.

Should be Willing to learn new technologies
