Job Description

Responsibilities o Install and Upgrade Oracle database, Oracle Grid software and also apply patches as required. o Perform regular health check of all production databases at Cluster level, instance level, ASM level and take appropriate action in case of any threshold value is reached. o Monitor and tune the performance of Oracle database ongoing basis o User management, create user, privileges and roles as required o Create and implement the backup policy as per client's requirement o Perform housekeeping activities such as purging of trace files, log files and dump files o Adept at taking backups and restoring the same as and when required using RMAN o Need to configure data guard and troubleshoot standby sync issues/log sequence gap issues

o Should be ready to work in 24x7 production support model and in shifts on rotational basis o Proactively monitor the production systems for any performance issues o Define and implement user security policy as per requirement and enable audit as required o Assist developers in performance tuning and troubleshooting of issues wherever required o To create, drop and monitor ASM disks, disk groups as a part of support activities o Should have worked on Oracle security features like TDE, Oracle Database vault and auditing o Should have good hands-on experience on Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation o Should have participated in mock DR drills o Should have good communication skills for coordinating with other teams and Client
