Position Overview:
An Ophthalmology Assistant Professor in a medical college your primary responsibility is to contribute to the education and training of medical students and residents in the field of ophthalmology. Your job description may include the following:

Teaching:
Delivering lectures, conducting practical demonstrations, and leading discussions on ophthalmology topics for undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will be responsible for designing and implementing the curriculum, developing teaching materials, and assessing students' performance.

Clinical Supervision:
Overseeing and providing guidance to students and residents during their clinical rotations and practical sessions in ophthalmology. This involves monitoring their clinical skills, assisting in diagnosing and managing eye conditions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Research and Scholarly Activities:
Engaging in research endeavors related to ophthalmology, which may involve conducting clinical studies, publishing scientific papers, and presenting findings at conferences. You will be expected to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field and promote evidence-based practice.

Administrative Duties:
Participating in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned by the institution. This may include involvement in curriculum development, academic policy formulation, and student evaluations.

Continuing Medical Education:
Keeping up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmology through attending conferences, workshops, and relevant training programs. You should strive to enhance your own knowledge and skills, which can then be passed on to the students and residents you are teaching.

Mentorship and Advising:
Providing mentorship and guidance to students and residents interested in pursuing a career in ophthalmology. This involves advising them on career paths, research opportunities, and assisting in their professional development.

Patient Care:
Depending on the institutional setup, you may also be involved in clinical practice, where you diagnose and treat patients with eye conditions, perform surgeries, and provide comprehensive eye care services. This aspect may vary depending on the specific requirements of the medical college.

Qualifications:
Education:
Hold a medical degree (MBBS) and a postgraduate degree (MS/DNB) in Ophthalmology

Pay: ?20,763.37 - ?100,000.00 per month
