Job Description


:Responsibilities:Inventory management

  • Establish and deliver a full life cycle inventory management plan mitigating obsolescence risk and enhancing shelf life availability across all supply chains locations.
  • Actively support the management of product portfolio lifecycle by presenting impact reports showing stock liability during the phase-in / phase-out of products.
  • Manage the MRP system by maintaining optimal safety stock levels and service.
  • Manage ABC stock classification, forecasting software algorithms, MTO, MTS, CS-MTO and other inventory policy initiatives.
  • Review the company wide stock profile, balancing inventory costs with service level targets.
  • Own the Product Stewardship Management process focusing on both product launch and rationalisation
  • Successfully project manage the introduction of new product lines into the supply chain, highlighting and resolving any operational challenges that may arise.
Responsibilities:Forecasting
  • Capture future demand streams to ensure all elements of the supply chain have the required capacity, capability and controls to support future production planning needs.
  • Provide forecasted demand information for demand planning, raw material planning and factory capacity planning purposes.
  • Collate, evaluate and communicate complex information clearly and concisely, supporting scenario planning, in order to bring agreed priorities to the production plan.
  • Funnel market demand, through a robust forecasting process that collects, collates and delivers a demand plan to the operations team in support of future S&OP processes.
  • Work closely with key internal and external customers to provide a consensus demand plan to support tactical planning through an S&OP process.
  • Establish and continuously improve forecast procedures and processes to minimise the impact of \'project driven demand\' from our customer base on the supply chain performance.
  • Rejuvenate and expand the forecasting system to include new sister company colleagues including SW USA and the Latin America Group.
External Raw Material Warehouses
  • Manage the running of all external stores in terms of stock availability, inventory turns, reverse logistics and mitigate obsolescence risk.
  • Ensure all point of sale machines are adequately stocked to ensure \'just in time\' production
  • Carry out periodic site inspections to ensure the management of the warehouses is in line with inventory management policy and best practise.
Service
  • Own the \'Perfect Order Fulfilment\' company wide service level metric and associated continuous improvement activities that underpin the 98% target level.
  • Ensure World-Class levels of customer service are delivered and maintained by building a strong rapport with other functions and departmental managers.
Project Management
  • Manage the full lifecycle of turn-key Supply Chain Projects in a cost effective and timely manner, by providing, implementing and delivering the project.
  • Manage the implementation of cross-business unit initiatives in the Supply Chain area.
  • Accurately calculate total supply chain costs in relation to proposed new projects, whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and understanding of all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Manage and drive change, transforming ideas from a project environment into workflows in the live working environment.
  • Display considerable hands on" Supply Chain setup and implementation experience to oversee the end to end Supply Chain process (production planning, scheduling, inventory control, logistics and distribution).
Continuous Improvement
  • Optimise working capital by working on the focus group looking at consignment stock and VMI initiatives with key suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery performance and inventory management, through the maintenance of key metric reports, supported by a structured management process.
  • Aim to champion internally the \'Planning and S&OP function\' - enabling a more pro-active approach to long, medium and short term planning and scheduling, minimising fire fighting en route to the roll out of an Advanced Planning System.
  • Develop a flexible team, capable of supporting current and future business needs. This team encompass supply chain team, and warehouse and distribution teams.
  • Manage system and procedural changes ensuring all internal stakeholders affected are suitably trained as required and in line with the Supply Chain Strategy.

  • Utilise creative problem-solving skills with a \'can-do\' attitude that brings the \'voice of the customer\' into the business.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, managing and motivating colleagues to deliver outstanding results, whilst managing the pressure of multiple deadlines and targets.
  • Demonstrate proven experience of interacting internally and externally at all levels within a corporate environment.
  • If this person is the site security representative for the booking of air freight, please ensure that the required criminal record checks have been carried out for the previous 5 years.
Qualifications:Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Degree qualified
  • Supervisory skills working within a customer facing environment
  • Coaching and people development skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of batch manufacturing is advantageous
  • Materials Management background MRP, ERP etc
